Hi and welcome! Thank you for visiting Amy Milam Photography! I am so happy to share this journey with you. Please feel free to read more about me and how Amy Milam Photography came to be.
I am a natural light photographer specializing in the needs of families at all stages: maternity, birth, newborn, child, and senior.
I consider myself a New Orleans girl through and through. There’s not much I enjoy more than spending all day on the parade route, dancing at jazz fest, or pinching tails with family and friends.
I have a B.A. in French Education from LSU and a M.A. in Educational Leadership from Xavier. I have taught French for the past ten years and consider myself very lucky to help shape the minds of our future.
I was first bitten with the photography “bug” while traveling. I studied abroad in college and have since led European trips for my students. There’s something about experiencing a new culture for the first time that makes you want to capture its essence just right.
Now a wife and mother of two, I have truly come to understand how quickly life can change. In what feels like a blink of an eye my son is 4 and my “baby” is nearly 18 months. Through my efforts to never forget a moment of their childhood, my passion for photography has grown.
My shooting style can be described as relaxed and easy going. I pride myself in putting my clients at ease so that the moments I capture are truly them just being themselves. Nothing brings me more joy than catching the sweet, candid moments between loved ones.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know me and checking out my recent work. To book a session or for more information please email (amymilamphotography@gmail.com), call (504. 756. 3030) or fill out my contact form. I look forward to hearing from you!
